Dwarf Pampas Grass (Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila')

Description:
Dwarf Pampas Grass (Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila') is a compact, showy ornamental grass prized for its dense clumps of slender, arching green foliage and dramatic, fluffy white plumes. Blooming from mid to late summer, the plumes rise well above the foliage, reaching up to 6–8 feet tall, while the plant itself forms a tidy mound about 3–5 feet high and wide. Unlike standard pampas grass, this dwarf variety is ideal for smaller gardens, borders, containers, and as a striking accent or screen. It is nearly sterile, so it rarely self-seeds, making it a safe choice for most landscapes.

Dwarf Pampas Grass thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerates drought and wind once established, and is deer resistant and low maintenance. The plumes are excellent for dried arrangements, adding long-lasting beauty indoors as well as outdoors.
